Highways Enforcement Officer needed in South West London Paying £144.12 per day ref 1409100 Full time hours on a temporary basis Duties: Investigate environmental crimes and utilize statutory powers for enforcement. Conduct routine patrols to identify and address littering, graffiti, fly-tipping, and other offenses. Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental violations, ensuring proper evidence collection. Coordinate with relevant services or contractors for the removal of environmental offenses. Inspect licensed and unlicensed highway activities, issuing penalties for infringements. Address unlicensed shop fronts and tables/chairs on public highways. Investigate abandoned vehicles and manage their potential removal. Report highway damage and coordinate necessary remedial actions. Conduct interviews and prepare statements for legal proceedings as per the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. Act as a professional witness in legal actions related to enforcement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory duties and relevant legislation.
