We are presenting an exciting opportunity for an experienced, people centric Depot Manager to join their team in Trafford Park, Manchester.
Holding full responsibility for the depot, the successful candidate will manage the daily operational aspects including effective management of the team and resources. You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Driver Regulations as well as ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.
You will control all aspects of the delivery function; to include the scheduling of deliveries in a punctual and cost-effective manner, allocation of loads, monitoring of delivery performance, and maintenance of an efficient delivery service; effectively leading and supporting all Drivers, Drivers Mates, and Warehouse staff within the depot.
Driven by excellence you will be consistent with implementing continuous improvement practices in order to drive performance and customer excellence within an already high-performing depot.
As one of our successful Depot Managers, you will be a loyal and committed professional, with proven supervisory or managerial experience within a multi-drop environment and a natural leadership style, enabling you to coach, mentor and inspire your team.
Requirements
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Must hold CPC in Road Transport (National)
* Flexibility around working hours to meet business needs
* Knowledge of Operator License regulations, including driver license and driver hours’ records
* Qualified to basic level in EH&S
* ILM would be beneficial
* Sound knowledge of Tachograph legislation
* People management experience and skills is essential
* PC literate
* Excellent communication skills
* Leadership skills
* Customer service skills
* Supervisory or management experience of working in a multi-drop environment would be advantageous

* A basic salary of £45,000 - £47,000 dependent on experience plus up to 7% local bonus and a company car.
