The A&E Department is seeking an enthusiastic Medical Secretary to provide a comprehensive, accurate and confidential support service to the A&E team at Lincoln County Hospital. This is a job share working 15 hours a week on a Tuesday and a Friday.
The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, English Language GCSE Grade C minimum (or equivalent) and be a competent user of Microsoft Word & Excel. Candidates must also have audio typing to RSA III or equivalent experience.
Main duties of the job
As a minimum, the post holder will have had experience in working in a busy office environment, an ability to use their own initiative and prioritise work to achieve deadlines. Recent experience of the NHS, medical terminology and knowledge of Careflow would be an advantage.

Qualifications
* Typing, Audio and Word/Text Processing skills to RSA III or equivalent knowledge acquired through further experience
* GCSE English Language Grade C or equivalent
* Shorthand minimum 90 wpm
* 4 GCSE Grade C or equivalent
* NVQ III or equivalent
* AMSPAR – Medical Terminology Certificate
Previous Experience
* Recent Secretarial experience
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Knowledge of Careflow
* Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload to achieve deadlines
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to communicate and work in a team
* Competent Microsoft Word User
