Job Title: Qualified Level 3 Childcare practitioner

Purpose of the job: To provide a stable, secure, safe and stimulating environment for all children, including SEN children, which meet their social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs and support all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS) and understand child development, especially with babies.
2. To work effectively as a full member of a team to ensure good practices in relation to childcare are maintained.
3. To plan and organise individual and group programmes in partnership with children, parents/carers and ensure that all daily activities effectively meet the developmental needs of the children.
4. Providing care for children, setting routines, developing/encouraging age-appropriate learning and socialising, and specific 1:1 with SEND children.
5. Ensuring children are learning positive behaviour and providing guidance/support.
6. Preparing children for transition (other room, setting or school).
7. To write/type regular observations on children and link accordingly to the relevant framework, including assessment, 2-year reports or any other required record keeping.
8. To carry out all legal requirements such as Health and Safety including hygiene practice and infection control (sterilising and disinfecting), Food Hygiene, Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and to keep all records.
9. To provide high standards with regards to Ofsted requirements or other agreed targets.
10. To attend regular staff meetings using different mediums (online, face to face, call or video call).
11. To complete regular training on statutory requirements such as safeguarding, First aid, Health and safety/infection control and food hygiene.
12. To take active part in the daily cleaning routine with and around children.

Responsible to: Managers and Nursery Owner
Liaison with: other staff members, students/volunteers, parents/carers, visitors and other agencies such as RHOSEY, schools, children’s centre.

6. Qualification in Childcare, Health & Social care or teaching.
7. Experience with children, mainly with babies.
