We are looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join Bolton Council s Human Resources team. Working within the Place Section of the HR Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our high-quality HR Service to the Place Department. Managing your own portfolio of service areas, you will act as the first point of contact for line managers and staff requiring specialist HR advice and guidance. You will be required to advise on a range of HR queries, interpreting and applying the relevant legislation, policies and terms and conditions to manage and resolve cases. You will also be involved in more complex matters such as service re-design/restructure programs, TUPE, as well as managing detailed high level casework matters. About You The successful candidate will be CIPD Level 5 qualified with extensive HR Adviser experience, self-motivated, professional and personable. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, often with conflicting demands and will therefore need to be organised, focused on detail, and possess excellent ICT skills to be able to respond to and follow up requests for information including production and analysis of data. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills in order to persuade and influence within the HR service delivery as well as an up to date working knowledge and understanding of HR and employment law. Following an office-based induction period, hybrid working is available to staff in line with Council policy, with the expectation that the majority of working hours are completed in Bolton Town Hall.
