The Role: As a Lead MRI Radiographer with us, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and developing the service to ensure that all operational objectives and standards are achieved and excellent customer treatment and service is delivered at all times. Follow all duties as a health and care professions council (HCPC) registrant (standards of conduct, performance and ethics). Follow all health and care professions council (HCPC) standards of proficiency. Provide leadership and effective performance management for all MRI /cross sectional staff. Create the right environment for all diagnostic and radiotherapy staff to work effectively together as a team. Ensure that the MRI section of the unit has the staff and resources it needs to operate effectively and safely. Ensure that all members of the cross-sectional team have had the appropriate training and have the necessary skills to do their jobs. Ensure that all staff follow clinical protocols, policies and procedures and operate in full compliance. Ensure that all staff maintain safe and effective working practices, including the operation of equipment and systems in use in the centre. Ensure that all patients experience the highest levels of service, in line with the agreed expectations for scanning within GenesisCare centres. Ensure that the unit maintains accurate and complete records of patient treatments, in line with the agreed processes within GenesisCare. Ensure that GenesisCare clinical audit, radiation protection and quality assurance requirements are met. Ensure that compliments are recorded alongside any incidents or complaints that are also thoroughly and properly investigated, and that the necessary safeguards are taken to prevent recurrence. Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders including patients and their carers, clinicians and their colleagues, investors and funders, partnership organisations, cancer charities, suppliers. Support the ongoing improvement and continuous development of the care and services provided across GenesisCare and to promote the ongoing success of the company. Have close liaison with other GenesisCare centre leaders/ lead radiographers at clinical forums to contribute to the growth and progress of MRI/cross sectional imaging. Lead by example taking an active clinical role in all areas of the patient pathway. To adhere to all HCPC standards. Pro-actively maintain own continuing professional development (CPD) in accordance with GenesisCare and HCPC professional standards. Work and coordinate out of hours working to ensure that breakdowns or crises are resolved with minimum impact to service and treatments.
