Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic lessons that motivate and challenge Year 6 pupils. Provide a balanced curriculum that promotes both academic achievement and personal development. Prepare students for their end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs), ensuring high standards of progress and achievement. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Monitor and assess pupil progress, offering constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to enrich the educational journey of all pupils. Actively participate in whole-school events, extra-curricular activities, and staff meetings.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience teaching Year 6 or Key Stage 2 is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. A genuine passion for developing children's confidence, resilience, and love for learning. Excellent classroom management skills with a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour. Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to engaging with parents and the wider school community.
