In this role you will ensure that SEA’s production processes are effective and predictable through the deployment of appropriate processes, controls, and equipment. Contributing to the incorporation of new product introduction principles into project plans and lead on how SEA introduces new products in to manufacturing areas. Covering a broad range of operations from receipt of raw materials right through to packaging of fully tested finished products. Provide input to new and legacy projects to define equipment, standard operating procedures, drawings and tooling as required. Optimise and challenge the design with respect to DFM for new products Create and publish Product Engineering working processes and guidelines Introduce and Lead PFMEA and implement improvements Project manage transformation of production areas Develop manufacturing processes and introduction of bespoke equipment through robust validation Review and implement process improvements to reduce production costs Lead on the implementation of Engineering Changes on the shop floor Be first triage of ‘quality’ problems encountered in manufacturing The skills you need Previous relevant production or manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in a low volume / high variety manufacturing environment. Knowledge of manufacturing processes relating to electronic components, including ESD standards Ability to read and interpret designs, wiring schedules and test documentation Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Good listener with the ability to influence stakeholders Join us and be part of something smaller - with over 400 people in the UK and Canada - doing something bigger: protecting what matters.
