An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Westmorland and Furness Family Hub Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with great interpersonal skills to provide an excellent service to the families, young people, and children of Barrow and to support our internal team.
About the Role
The Family Hub, based at Barrow Main Library, aims to join up and enhance services delivered through existing partner organisations, ensuring that parents and carers of children between 0 – 19, or 25 with SEND can access the support they need, when they need it. The Customer Services Officer will be the first point of contact for the parents, carers, children, and young people accessing our services; whether that is face to face, by phone, or email. The post holder will also provide a high level of administrative and organisational support to the integrated team of Family Hub workers.
Who We Are Looking For
The right candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and substantial experience of helping customers in a family support, social care, health, education, or related setting. You will also have good written communication skills and a good knowledge of client confidentiality and GDPR legislation. You will also have experience of providing administrative support in a large and complex organisation and be able to demonstrate an ability for planning and organising as well as prioritising your own work.
