Job summary We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Prescription Clerk to join our primary care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing repeat prescription requests, liaising with healthcare professionals, and ensuring efficient medication management for patients. This role is vital in supporting the smooth operation of the practice and enhancing patient care. Additionally, the role includes Data Clerk responsibilities, ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient data, supporting data reporting, and assisting with administrative tasks related to healthcare records. Main duties of the job Prescription Management: Process repeat prescription requests efficiently and accurately. Liaise with GPs, pharmacies, and patients regarding medication queries. Ensure prescriptions comply with practice and NHS policies. Maintain accurate electronic and paper records of prescription requests. Data Administration: Update and maintain patient records, ensuring data accuracy. Input and retrieve information from clinical systems. Support data quality initiatives and audits. Summarising and coding patient records.
