We are currently recruiting for a Clerk of the Works to ensure our new homes are built to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be part of a growing Development Team that is driving an ambitious New Build Programme involving modern methods of construction as well as more traditional methods. As a Housing Safety & Compliance Officer you will work with the Senior Housing Safety & Compliance officer to ensure that the Council fulfils its statutory duties in relation to the safety of our tenants. This will include: Identifying and resolving gaps in the Council’s compliance with relevant consumer standards. Assisting in collating data and preparing reports for the Regulator of Social Housing and KPIs. Implementing, coordinating and carrying out regular audits of Council processes and procedures. Taking the lead in managing the resolution of actions arising from inspections. Working with the team to develop ‘golden thread’ information and manage records accordingly. We are looking for people who have experience working within a building safety environment You will ideally have a good knowledge of the housing consumer standards. You will need to be comfortable working as part of a team and using your own initiative whilst having a keen eye for attention to detail. This is a fast paced environment and the ability to balance competing priorities is essential. We are a friendly and welcoming team and can offer flexible working hours, including the ability to work from home. You must have the following experience: Experience of undertaking compliance related tasks such as data management. Experience of communicating with people at various levels Knowledge of, and ability to interpret current health and safety legislation and housing consumer standards.
