As a Housing Safety & Compliance Officer focusing on asbestos you will take the lead in all aspects of asbestos management. This will include: Managing and coordinating our asbestos reinspection programme. Implementing and coordinating surveys and assessments ensuring they are recorded appropriately. Ensuring our asbestos register is managed effectively and kept up to date. Preparing asbestos related data for regulator and KPI reporting Carrying out asbestos inspections as required. Ensuring NBBC’s compliance with relevant health safety regulations. Supporting with investigating incidents and near misses. We are looking for people who have experience dealing with asbestos from either a practical or management perspective. You should have good knowledge of CAR 2015 and other relevant health and safety legislation. You will need to be comfortable working as part of a team and using your own initiative whilst having a keen eye for attention to detail. This is a fast paced environment and the ability to balance competing priorities is also essential. You should have the following experience: Experience of undertaking health and safety related inspections Experience of communicating with people at various levels Knowledge of, and ability to interpret current health and safety legislation Experience of asbestos management.
