Telecommunication Riggers:
If you are an experienced Rigger with at least 3-5 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, this will be a great challenging opportunity. You will work as part of a team with excellent training and development opportunities. Some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Identifying and reporting to the Project Managers/Engineers;
2. Installing, maintaining, repairing and analysing faults of telecommunication systems such as microwave, radio, in-built coverage networks, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, wireless, and other communication systems;
3. Arranging and integrating network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases, and operating systems;
4. Tower, pole, and mast installations;
5. Being a team player focused with a positive attitude to quality and HSE;
6. Working at heights;
7. Carrying out rigging works in the installation of steelwork on structures, including climbing poles, rooftops, towers, and masts;
8. Carrying out microwave installations and commissioning, including a comprehensive understanding of the antenna systems involved, installation of feeders, antennas, hyperflex cables, RRU’s, and ancillary equipment;
9. Working with cranes, cherry pickers, and EWP's as required to carry out works on site;
10. Assisting in the review of site job safety analysis (JSA’s) and SWMS;
11. Developing and compiling test results logs of details, locations, and status of inventories, parts, equipment, and instruments, maintaining documentation of communication policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and quality standards.
Telecommunications Technicians:
We are seeking Wireless Telecommunications Technicians to join our team, and some of your responsibilities will include:
1. Installing wireless network equipment in the setup of new or upgraded telecommunications base stations inclusive of RF and DC systems;
2. Undertaking proof tests such as line testing circuit commissioning;
3. Being familiar with vendors’ equipment, such as Nokia, Ericsson, Ceragon, and NEC;
4. Having a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Wireless Technician with the flexibility to travel to regional sites, including working at heights, and holding a valid and current full driver’s license;
5. Ensuring occupational health and safety and environmental requirements are understood and effectively implemented;
6. Effectively managing the day-to-day activities of the team to complete assigned tasks;
7. Installing, maintaining, repairing, and analysing faults of telecommunication systems;
8. Arranging and integrating network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, desktops, peripherals, databases, and operating systems;
9. Coordinating the activities of staff and sub-contractors under your control;
10. Providing technical advice and information, monitoring the performance of complex telecommunications networks and equipment, ensuring consistent work practices are implemented in the field, complying with industry standards and client technical procedures;
11. Planning the development of customer access telecommunications network infrastructure;
12. Liaising with vendors, suppliers, providers, and external resources, monitoring contractual obligations and performance delivery;
13. Providing ongoing operational support in designing, optimising, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and resolving telecommunications network performance malfunctions, defects, and faults;
14. Ensuring that works are conducted safely, timely, and with a high degree of quality, thus preventing rework and bringing projects within budget;
15. Assisting in the review of site job safety analysis (JSA’s) and SWMS.
