Role Overview
As an Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations on residential construction sites. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering quality homes. You'll work closely with tradespeople, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the high standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in Site Management: Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day coordination of the site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities on site adhere to company health and safety policies, conducting regular checks and encouraging best practices.
* Quality Control: Monitor construction quality, inspecting completed work to ensure it meets design specifications and customer expectations.
* Coordination of Trades and Subcontractors: Assist in scheduling and supervising tradespeople and subcontractors, resolving issues that arise on-site to keep the project on track.
* Progress Reporting: Prepare daily reports on site progress, communicate updates to the Site Manager, and participate in project meetings.
* Customer Care: Work with the customer service team to handle any issues or queries from homeowners after completion, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience: Prior experience in a construction-related role, preferably in residential or new-build projects.
* Certifications: Valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS certification, and knowledge of current H&S regulations.
* Skills: Strong organisational skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with the wider team.
* Driving License: A full, valid UK driving licence is required.
