Are you an inspiring and creative educator with a love for literature and language? We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic English teacher to join our school and foster a lifelong appreciation for the power of words andmunication.
We are currently recruiting for an English Teacher in Medway with a start date of November 2023 or January 2024 for a “Good” Ofsted ratedprehensive school. We are actively seeking experienced English teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) interested in embarking on a rewarding new journey with the potential for growth and exciting challenges.
Multiple opportunities for English, Maths, Science, MFL and Humanities Teachers are available at a well-regarded secondary school in Kent. Hays Education, a leading provider with exclusive partnerships with secondary schools in Dartford, Maidstone, Canterbury and Ashford, is assisting several schools in enhancing their departments. We are always actively seeking all subject teachers for day-to-day supply, long-term contracts and permanent contracts all year round.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. Design and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons that captivate students' imagination and encourage critical thinking.
2. Instil a passion for reading and writing by introducing students to a diverse range of literary works and helping them develop their own expressive voice.
3. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures students' language skills and self-confidence.
4. Assess students' language proficiency, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and participate in extracurricular activities that enrich the English learning experience
6. Be resilient and effectively manage behaviour
Requirements:
7. Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, or a related field.
8. Teaching certification or relevant teaching qualifications. QTS
9. Proven experience of teaching English at the secondary or higher education level.
10. Excellentmand of English grammar, literature, and writing techniques.
11. Strongmunication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
