Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Banking Consultant to lead our consulting team and provide expert guidance to our clients in the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of banking operations, financial products, and market trends, along with exceptional leadership and client management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored banking solutions.
2. Strategic Planning: Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance client banking operations and profitability.
3. Project Management: Oversee multiple consulting projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes.
4. Market Analysis: Monitor economic trends and market changes to provide clients with up-to-date advice and recommendations.
5. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of banking consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
6. Compliance: Ensure all consulting activities comply with industry regulations and policies.
7. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing proposals and pitches to secure new consulting assignments.
8. Thought Leadership: Contribute to the development of thought leadership materials, including white papers and industry reports.
9. Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in the Banking space covering a few departments that may include Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Credit Cards, Payments, Corporate Banking, Treasury, Securities Services, Trade Services, Factoring, etc.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
2. Experience: Several years of experience in banking or financial consulting, with significant experience in a leadership role.
3. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
4. Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or similar are a plus.
