Hours: Full-Time, Term-Time Only – Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm (hours cannot be negotiated)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children? GSL are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants and Support Workers to join our Schools in Redditch. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with autism, ADHD, SEMH, and extremely challenging behaviour in a special needs school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support for children with complex needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural challenges.
* Assist children with personal care needs and ensure their safety and well-being.
* Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
* Help children who may be at risk of harming themselves or others.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with children who have attachment difficulties and emotional needs.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with special needs, challenging behaviour, or mental health difficulties.
* Knowledge or experience in areas like personal care, mental health, care work, or youth work.
* Applications from Psychology and Criminology graduates, as well as individuals with personal experience supporting vulnerable people, are encouraged.
* Security, residential care, and sports coaching experience is also valued.
* Will have a Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/ Child and Adult Workforce) registered to the Update Service. If you don’t already have a DBS, we can help you apply for one.
