Health and Safety Advisor The Role This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for Health and Safety to join our established HSQE department. Working closely with the Health and Safety manager you will be given the opportunity to develop and advance into a more senior role. The successful candidate will have attained or working towards an industry recognised qualification such as NEBOSH National General Certificate and be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge and practical application of Health & Safety regulations and standards. Full support and training will be given to further develop the successful candidate. They will also need to have a proactive, safety-first approach to health and safety management, ideally operating in an industrial or logistics environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with Health and Safety matters including liaison with national safety, regulatory and enforcement bodies. Proactively assist with continual improvement. Support on the review, development and implementation of Risk Assessments, Non-Conformances, & Method Statements. Strong presence around the Port and assisting managers / supervisors on implementation of H&S procedures and actions. Attend Health and Safety management meetings and help implement existing and new legislation. Investigate and record any incidents correctly and accurately. Assist with internal and external audits.
