GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join schools in Eastleigh. This rewarding role involves working closely with students who need additional support, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and thrive in their learning environment. As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support, ensuring all students receive the encouragement and assistance they need. Your Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Assist students with special educational needs in their academic and personal development. Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Implement personalised learning strategies under the guidance of the SENCO. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students as required. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor and report student progress to teaching staff and parents. SEN TA Requirements: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, education, or something similar. CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance. Experience working with children with SEN as an SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
