My client is a manufacturing business, with operations all over Europe. My next assignment for them is for find a Internal Auditor Manager (with experience/expertise in SAP), based in Manchester (2/3 days per week, hybrid model). The purpose of the role is to support the Internal Audit team in all phases of the audit process from planning, carrying out the audit fieldwork, developing recommendations and presenting these to finance and operational teams and following up recommendations to ensure timely implementation; and to provide expertise to the Internal Audit (IA) team around SAP processes and controls. As part of this, the Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for: Assessing the effectiveness of the design and operation of internal controls across a range of financial and operational processes; Supporting the development of audit scopes and detailed test plans; Documenting and reporting on the effectiveness of controls operation and testing; Supporting the development of written reports to management summarizing the assessment of controls and development of practical recommendations to improve controls; Interacting with the business to build relationships; Supporting the established profile of Internal Audit by effectively performing duties. Supporting the maintenance of Internal Audit processes Supporting development of a systematic approach to auditing SAP enabled business processes. We are looking for a qualified / part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a keen interest in internal audit & internal controls, and proven relevant professional experience in a practice firm, in industry, or a mix of the two. Technical skills & experience: Understanding fraud, bribery and corruption risks in supply chain management; Very good understanding of supply chain management processes; Ability to analyse and understand design/operation of controls for financial and nonfinancial processes Understanding / experience of Internal Audit techniques Strong MS office skills Excellent in effective auditing of SAP enabled business processes; Ability to develop and execute SAP specific audit programs; Ability to effectively develop and use data analytics in SAP environment; Understanding of fraud risks and fraud scenarios in business processes and ability to address those through effective audit techniques. Non-technical skills & experience: Confidence, assertiveness and the ability to act with tact and diplomacy when required; Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; Flexibility and adaptability; reacting quickly & flexible to changing circumstances The ability to multitask, managing multiple projects concurrently; Demonstrate initiative to generate new ideas and present them constructively; Articulate and assertive; Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills; Able to work effectively as part of a team; Ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion; Seek ways to find and apply best practice; Adopt a pragmatic, fit for purpose approach; Open, honest & reliable; Excellent understanding of SAP environment.
