About Us: Search Consultancy are supporting a company who are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role will be a fixed term contract and is urgently required. Key Responsibilities: As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will work closely with the Management Accountant and Finance team to support financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis. Supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing data and insight where required. Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling balance sheets and profit & loss statements. Helping to prepare and review financial reports for internal stakeholders. Assisting with costings, pricing, and margin analysis to support decision-making. Processing and coding invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies. Assisting with year-end procedures and audits. Collaborating with other departments to provide financial information and analysis. Ad-hoc reporting and project support as required. Key Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in accounts Strong knowledge of financial accounting and management accounting principles. Previous experience in a similar role (ideally in a commercial or fast-paced environment). Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quick Books, or similar). Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills: Experience with financial analysis and reporting. Familiarity with costing and pricing models.
