Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with a mechanically biased background to join our projects department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead projects in HVAC, working closely with our team of experts.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial building services, specializing in central plant replacement projects involving chillers, boilers, AHUs, and main plant replacement, with a good understanding of mechanical design concepts.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and generate project opportunities, liaising with key stakeholders on their requirements and explaining the feasibility of their schemes.
* Work with developers, designers, and sub-contractors to define and document scope of work, developing and understanding the full scope of works in line with the desired project business case.
* Manage, run, and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required, carrying out full tender analysis of all subcontractor returns.
* Ensure QHSE practices and processes are fully embedded in each project, ensuring full compliance with project management policies and procedures.
* Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the project, including estimating, business development, quantity surveying, subcontractor management, and site manager duties.
Requirements
* Commercial awareness and strong financial acumen.
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills, ability to present with confidence, and ability to understand commercial and financial metrics.
* Internal and external customer management, networking skills, selling and negotiation skills, and ability to deliver to deadlines.
* Up-to-date knowledge of the construction market, fully competent with Project Management methodology, broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation.
* Minimum of 5 years proven Project Management experience in an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment.
Salary
£85,000 per annum.
