We are looking to appoint a Deputy Head – Pastoral to lead and inspire our pastoral teams. The successful candidate will foster a positive, secure, and values-driven environment where every girl is recognized, celebrated, and supported as a unique individual. Together, we aim to empower each student to thrive personally and excel academically.
Objectives of the post:
* Lead and manage the pastoral teams to provide a positive, secure and values-led environment where each girl is known and celebrated as an individual and given the support she needs to excel both personally and academically.
* Work with the SLT to ensure outstanding levels of pastoral care and professional leadership and management of the pastoral teams. This will require the effective use of resources within the school, the ability to understand and motivate the different pastoral teams while striving to continually improve the standards and achievements of all students.
* The Deputy Head Pastoral is a senior manager and leader within the school and has a key role to play in both the strategic development of the school and the day-to-day management of it.
* Be responsible to the Head and expected to promote and uphold the values and vision of the school.
* Demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to the schools’ key priorities and the overall attainment and well-being of all students.
* Play a major role in the development of school policies and practices, with particular emphasis on those connected with pastoral care, attendance and personal development.
