Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Warrington Council, Adults Assessment Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Completing timely community Care Act Assessments using a strengths-based approach with a range of adult service user groups including older people, mental health, learning disability, physical disabilities etc.
2. Significant experience of conducting S42 (safeguarding enquiries).
3. Completing mental capacity assessments in accordance with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
4. Experience of assessing risk and recommending proportionate risk management plans in crisis situations.
5. Experience of managing a demanding case load with the ability to work at pace and prioritize autonomously and effectively.
6. Liaise with other professionals.
36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
2 Month Temporary Contract
Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

Requirements
The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
