Mechanical Engineer
FMCG Manufacturing
Location: Torquay
Salary: £47,000 - £50,000
Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights
Are you a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who wants to stay stimulated, develop your career, and join an ever-growing independent manufacturing company with ongoing projects?
For this role, electrical bias isn't the case. I'm looking to speak with the best mechanically skilled professionals. You should be a strong Maintenance Engineer with basic electrical knowledge (fault finding and rewiring). If you've worked on reactive and preventative breakdowns, showing proven experience, pneumatic and hydraulics experience, as well as conveyor, belts, pumps, and gearbox knowledge, this could be the role for you. You should have very good communication skills, be able to hold your own in a busy environment, and be eager to learn the ways of the company while working in line with their ambitions and aims.
With continuous projects, no day is the same, and there is always something to get your teeth stuck into. You'll be an important part of the production process, responsible for the smooth operation of machinery and ensuring that production can be carried out in the most effective and efficient way. We’re on a journey, aspiring to become a truly world-class Engineering team, and your involvement will be integral in making it happen.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer (basic electrical knowledge required)
2. An appropriate Engineering qualification (NVQ, Apprentice trained)
3. Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety
4. Ideally, you will have worked in food manufacturing or FMCG production environments previously; however, this is not absolutely necessary
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance on machinery and plant.
2. Minimising downtime and fault finding on a range of machinery in a fast-paced and large-scale manufacturing environment.
3. Assisting with root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and general daily operational efficiencies.
4. Assisting with project work as and when required, including the introduction of new plant and equipment.
Feel like you have what it takes, or feeling a change? Apply now, and I will be in touch (Dan). If your CV isn't quite ready, then give me a call (phone number removed), and we can have a confidential conversation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
