Special educational needs Teacher Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team and support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that every child can reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual learning needs of students with SEN. Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, SLD, PMLD, and communication difficulties. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with the SENCO to ensure targeted support. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes independence and confidence. Use effective differentiation and behavior management strategies to support students' engagement and progress. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (e.g., PGCE, SCITT). Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a school or specialist setting. Strong understanding of SEND strategies, including differentiation, behavior management, and communication techniques (e.g., PECS, Makaton). Desirable: Additional qualifications in SEND, Autism, Speech and Language, or Mental Health. Experience working with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans). Training in de-escalation techniques (e.g., Team Teach, MAPA).
