About the Role: MET Strip/Fitter Technician
As an MET Strip/Fitter Technician, you’ll be an essential part of the repair process, ensuring that vehicles are restored to their highest standards. Your role will involve:
* Vehicle Dismantling and Reassembly: Carefully dismantling and reassembling vehicles following manufacturer specifications.
* Damage Assessment: Conducting thorough inspections to assess damage and plan the necessary repairs.
* Fault Diagnosis: Using advanced diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
* Team Collaboration: Working closely with the Bodyshop team to ensure timely, high-quality repairs.
* Workspace Maintenance: Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety protocols.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
* Experience: Proven experience as an MET Strip/Fitter or in a similar role within the accident repair industry.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair methods.
* Diagnostic Tools Proficiency: Comfortable with using diagnostic tools and Bodyshop equipment.
* Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detail, ensuring repairs are performed to the highest standard.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues efficiently under pressure.
* Qualifications: Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are highly desirable.
