Electrical Maintenance / Site Engineer
Pertemps are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrical Maintenance / Site Engineer to join our fast-paced external team. Working alongside a Mechanical Site Engineer (sharing a company van), you’ll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of equipment across the UK.
Key Responsibilities of this Electrical Maintenance / Site Engineer role:
Travel to sites nationwide to install, commission, and service equipment.
Support our after-sales and breakdown departments as needed.
Be prepared for occasional overnight stays (typically at least one night per week; all expenses covered).
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and strive for continual improvement.
Complete detailed site reports after each visit, ensuring customer signatures are obtained.
Return site reports and timesheets promptly.
Act as a professional ambassador for the company, promoting all products and services.
Ensure all necessary materials and tools are ready before site visits and work efficiently within agreed time frames.
Maintain strong communication across all levels, internally and externally.
Manage petty cash and company credit card responsibly.
Identify personal training and development needs.
Flexibility to meet changing business needs
Flexibility to undertake any other reasonable tasks as required
Adherence to Health & Safety policies and procedures at all timesSkills required for this Electrical Maintenance / Site Engineer role:
Electrical Qualification to 17th or 18th Edition
C&G Level 3 – Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52) — Desirable
Confined Space Training — Desirable
First Aid Certification — Desirable
CSCS Card — Desirable
Previous experience in a similar electrical maintenance or site-based role
Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Willingness to learn and develop new skills Details of this Electrical Maintenance / Site Engineer role:
Hours: Typically 45–50 hours per week
Salary: From £13.92 per hour (depending on experience) + overtime + benefits
Potential Earnings: Circa £45,000+ once fully trained
