ADHD Support Assistant Location: North West England, Merseyside, Birkenhead Job Type: Contract, Full-Time Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: Provide support and assistance to students with ADHD in educational settings Work closely with teachers and other staff to implement individualised support plans Help students stay focused, organised, and engaged in learning activities Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the team Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals as needed Required Qualifications: Experience working with individuals with ADHD or special educational needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations Education: Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications Additional training or certifications in special education or related field preferred Experience: Prior experience working in educational or support roles Experience implementing behaviour management strategies Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning and behaviour Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual student needs Strong organisational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in psychology, counselling, or special education Experience with assistive technology and other support tools Working Conditions: Work primarily in a school or educational setting Full-time hours, with occasional evening or weekend work for meetings or events May involve working one-on-one with students in different environments All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
