Role: Teacher Location: Halton Lodge Primary School Salary: M1 to M4 (Dependent on experience) Hours: 32.5 per week (Full Time) Salary: £31,650 (M1) to £38,034 (M4) Contract: Permanent The headteacher and governors of Halton Lodge Primary School would like to appoint a highly skilled and inspiring teacher, who has the ability to excite and motivate children to learn. Initially, this role will involve teaching in all year groups (Reception to Year 6) throughout the week, to provide PPA cover and to also release teachers for (i) subject leadership time, (ii) to carry out monitoring and coaching, (iii) to observe others and take part in lesson study, and (iv) attend training courses, other continued professional development opportunities and meetings. Should a member of the teaching staff be absent, due to illness or other unforeseen circumstance, there may also be a requirement to cover on these occasions to. This role will, therefore, be varied, interesting and require good organisational skills. However, over time, we would hope to provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to take on a class teacher responsibility in their chosen key stage – if this is something that it is felt would be in the best interest of the successful candidate (and the children who attend our school). The successful candidate will: · Have Qualified Teacher Status; · Be able to evidence that they meet all the teacher standards; · Have the ability to teach to a high standard in Reception (EYFS), Key Stage One and Key Stage Two; · Understand how children learn – and be able to nurture a positive learning environment; · Have high expectations of children of all abilities; · Know who to adapt learning to meet the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs); · Understand the importance of formative assessment and using this as a diagnostic tool to plan purposeful learning opportunities; · Have excellent organisational skills and have very good time management.
