About the role
Is this you? A capable and innovative person with ideas that need to be heard. Someone that likes to get things done and has the motivation and organisational skills to keep a huge project moving in the right direction.
We are looking for a person who likes to work in a small team as well as learn from and be inspired by an exceptional group of consultants.
We have started a very exciting journey to create resilience in the landscape, in communities and with homeowners. This project aims to make a big difference for residents who flood in Northamptonshire.
You will be working on an award-winning project where trial and innovation lead to delivery. We need an exceptionally organised and self-motivated support officer to complete our team and continue our vision.
Has this sparked your interest? If so, we’d like to hear from you.
What will you be doing?
* Supporting the team, engaging with residents and interested groups, delivering with innovation at the centre.
* Collaborating with experts from across the flood industry, IT, emergency planning, communications teams, and other Enabler services of West Northamptonshire Council.
* Learning and providing support on a number of IT programs used to deliver the project smoothly.
* Being a proactive thinker, doer, and challenger, so that we can do our best work and make a difference.
* Keeping the project moving and on track.
* Informing stakeholders and reporting across a number of organisations.
About you
* Natural openness, curiosity, and optimism.
* Great with people, including Parish councils, flood consultants, residents, and flood victims.
* Likes to see their ideas become reality.
* A starter and a finisher; the project needs ideas and delivery.
* Experience in IT.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders.
* A team-driven approach to delivery.
* A responsive and adaptable attitude.
* A passion for making a positive impact for individuals and services.
