MANE are currently recruiting for a Stores Person for our Manufacturing client based in Belfast. As a Stores Person, you will play a key role in developing and managing stock control processes within our ERP system, as well as establishing and maintaining a well-organised stores location. This position is pivotal to ensuring efficient management of incoming parts, consumables, and outgoing products, fostering a streamlined work environment that enhances overall business performance and staff productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design and implement stores and stock control processes within the ERP system, including the creation of detailed work instructions.
2. Set up and manage store and bin locations.
3. Maintain accurate stock movement records in the ERP system.
4. Receive and perform visual inspections of incoming parts.
5. Verify part numbers and quantities against purchase orders.
6. Conduct basic dimensional inspections in alignment with engineering drawings, as needed.
7. Assemble kits for line feeding and ensure timely preparation for production.
8. Maintain Kanban bins for production consumables.
9. Perform regular inventory counts and audits.
10. Issue parts to production teams while accurately recording stock transactions in the ERP system.
11. Manage inventory using First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles.
12. Document and report weekly visual inspections of racking systems.
13. Collaborate with the Quality and Supply Chain teams on product returns (RTVs).
14. Support the Quality Team by promoting a quality-first mindset.
15. Assist other business functions as required.
16. Prioritise Health, Safety, and Environmental standards in all activities.
17. Foster strong working relationships across teams at Artemis Technologies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
1. Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing stores and bin locations.
2. Proven ability to establish and maintain Kanban supply systems.
3. Experience in assembly kitting for line feeding.
4. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Skills
Technical Expertise
1. Proficiency in operating a Forklift Truck (B1 license required, B2 preferred).
2. Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central is advantageous).
3. Skilled in using basic inspection tools such as verniers, height gauges, tape measures, and surface finish gauges.
4. Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply basic tolerancing principles.
5. Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
6. Knowledge of long-span pallet racking inspections and non-conformance reporting (desirable).
