We are working with a leading UK and Ireland distributor of scientific equipment, based in South Manchester. With a long-standing partnership with a global manufacturer of laboratory-scale pressure vessels, we are the market leader in this field. Known for our technical expertise and customer service, we’re now looking to grow our team with a Technical Support Engineer. The Role You will support our Sales Product Managers across the full lifecycle of pressure vessel projects from technical planning and installation to commissioning and ongoing service. Key Responsibilities Provide on-site and remote technical support for pressure-rated systems. Plan and carry out system installations, including site surveys, modelling, pipework, and lifting coordination. Use CAD to review and create technical drawings; interpret P&ID and PFD diagrams. Ensure compliance with PED, PSSRs and support documentation for certification. Deliver customer training and support pre-sales technical discussions. Occasionally support the admin team with goods movement documentation. What do we need from you? Degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering (or equivalent experience). Strong understanding of pressure systems and engineering process flow diagrams. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (up to two-thirds field-based).
