Contract type: 12 Month fixed term contract
Job Overview
The Natural History Museum in Colchester is a much-loved local resource for young families, housed within one of the earliest medieval churches in the city. However, the fabric of the building needs repair and the museum displays are outdated. Colchester + Ipswich Museums Service is now working on a plan to redevelop the museum, retaining at its core the ethos that has made it so popular with young families for fifty years but enhancing and putting it at the centre of the region’s many and diverse natural heritage sites.
Role Purpose
In September 2024, the National Lottery Heritage Fund awarded the museum a round one pass to further develop the plans, and this Project Officer post will be central to the delivery of this phase of planning and application for round two support and funding to deliver this exciting project. We are seeking an organised and efficient administrator who will provide administrative support and help coordinate colleagues and consultants to ensure efficient reporting and delivery.
