Job overview
This is a fixed term post ending on 31/3/25 to cover Maternity leave. The post holder will provide high quality nursing care working within a cohesive multidisciplinary team. The expectations within this job description will be met through leadership, hands-on clinical practice, education and training, and research.

Essential criteria
* Registered Nurse with NMC Registration
* Post-registration education
* Evidence of other courses and training appropriate to specialty

* Mentorship Course
Experience
Essential criteria
* Recent clinical nursing experience
* Negotiating and liaising within a multidisciplinary team
* Supporting students and other learners e.g. HCAs, teaching others in the practice environment
* Experience of undertaking general assessment by utilising evidence-based care
* Previous experience in the Nursing process, care planning and fluent in record keeping
Desirable criteria
* Experience of training students
* Participation in audit; research projects; service development
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Ability to listen effectively and give constructive feedback to clients and colleagues
* Time management skills
* Able to demonstrate reasonable response to service user needs and prioritising and dealing with those needs with required urgency
* Knowledge of evidence-based practice
Desirable criteria
* Knowledge of infection control
* Knowledge of current clinical and professional issues
