What You Will Contribute To Altos
6 months contract (UK candidates only)
As a Project Manager (Contract) at Altos, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of multidisciplinary projects within the Institute of Computation (IoC). You will play a key role in ensuring cross-functional coordination, operational efficiency, and progress tracking to advance Altos’ mission. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where collaboration and innovation drive success.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in planning and executing 4-6 assigned projects, ensuring deliverables align with timelines and objectives.
* Maintain systems for tracking and monitoring active internal and external projects.
* Collaborate across teams, including scientific, computational, and business units, to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of workflows to improve operational efficiency within projects.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential obstacles, and work with teams to resolve issues.
* Communicate project updates, status, and results to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
* Support budget tracking and resource planning for assigned projects.
* Leverage project management tools to streamline task management and collaboration.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
* Education: BS or MS in life sciences, computational biology, business, or a related field.
* Experience in project management within biotechnology, computational biology, AI/ML, pharmaceuticals, or a related scientific field.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
* Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite or similar).
* Strong communication skills to present technical information clearly and effectively.
* Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.
* Results-driven and detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
* Self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
* Growth-oriented and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Collaborative and enjoys working as part of a high-impact team.
