At SmithNephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living The Global Content Strategist defines, builds and structures the evolving overall digital content (including assets and user interactions) on the SmithNephew's website and digital platforms. This is a new role, working across all our business units to build and deliver cohesive digital communications. The role works in partnership with local markets and is the lead on all things digital content in our global head office. This role is both a strategist and a hands on content creator. What will you be doing? Define the new content creation process for our digital platforms. Educate and support the internal organisation to build user friendly and dynamic content. Own the development and execution of the content strategy for the company's website and connected, customer-facing digital platforms. Work with internal partners to improve the whole customer journey, tying together big ideas and concepts in ways that engage customers and are novel and innovative. Be part of the global SN.com web team, closely working together with the Web Customer Experience Director as well as with regional team members, internal editors, external design agencies and development teams. Create and help maintaining editorial calendars, content playbooks, voice/tone guides, taxonomies, metadata frameworks and content migration plans to create consistency across our platforms. Support and participate in content conception and creation with global and local markets. Understanding of W3C, SEO and analytics. What does success look like? The Global Content Strategist takes the lead in enhancing customer satisfaction through guidance, driving engagement through excellent content and clear call-to-actions to optimise the digital customer journey. Your insights and experience will help drive a 'digital first' culture at SmithNephew. Your background As well as being an excellent communicator and a self starter you'll have a practical approach to problem solving. We are looking for someone with proven experience in content strategy, copywriting and UX writing. You will likely come from either a global business or a digital agency working with sophisticated global clients. It's very likely you will have experience working with a content management system (preferably Sitecore) and a digital asset management system. Additionally, it's likely your educational background is in writing, journalism, literature, communications or marketing. We are open to hybrid, remote or office based working.
