Hereford Job Summary The post holder will be an integral team member advising staff on Information Management (IM) policy and the use of the organisations information systems. The Information Support Officer (ISO) is the head of the units central iHub and a key member of the overall IM team charged with effective management and exploitation of information within the organisation. The central iHub manages and is supported by seven decentralised iHubs within the organisation. The ISO will advise the Information Manager (iMgr) and Senior Information Manager (SIO) on information related matters and execute the organisation’s policies. The ISO will be supported by two Information Support Administrators (ISA) in the central iHub, 1 x civilian and 1 x military, and a minimum of one ISA in each of the decentralised iHubs. Advising on best practice with regards electronic ways of working (EWoW) in accordance with local IM plans. Encouraging collaborative working and the advantages it provides and apply the correct levels of assurance for use of our information systems. The post holder will be part of the ongoing development of professional IM practices across the organisation. This will provide opportunities to develop a wide range of skills and engage with a broad range of staff in supporting the information needs of the unit.
