Job Summary
The Quality and Safety lead will play a key role in the delivery and embedding of a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the Directorate. They will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, external reviews, inspection response actions and meeting expected CQC care delivery outcomes by working collaboratively with leaders of teams and services.
The post holder will assist the senior divisional leadership team with the services quality improvement journey by being responsible for and providing assurance in the delivery of effective risk and governance systems across maternity, neonatal and gynaecology services. They will work to ensure effective communication systems are in place and to ensure excellent standards of care and compliance with national and local standards.
Main Duties of the Job
Working as the Directorate lead for the Quality and Safety agenda, the post holder will lead on the day-to-day delivery and development of the key workstreams to ensure service improvements and the key objectives of the quality and safety strategy.
They will work collaboratively with services to gather and collate data on key quality and safety programmes of work and create and maintain a suite of reports for use in the Directorate governance meetings and for provision outside the organisation. Using compassionate, inclusive leadership, the postholder, on behalf of the Womens and Families Health Directorate will be responsible for driving forward the following portfolio areas:
The post holder will have a key role in the delivery of our organisation's improvement ambitions, directed by the Quality and Safety Strategy.
To support the implementation and embedding of directorate, divisional and Trust Quality Improvement projects as relevant.
To support the implementation and embedding of the 'Patient Safety Incident Response Framework' (PSIRF).
Promote quality improvement to ensure best-practice services and high quality care for patients and positive working experience for staff. This will be achieved by being a highly visible, proactive, and accessible leader ensuring the delivery of high standards of care.
About Us

Job Responsibilities
* Provide effective and visible leadership.
