Structural Project Engineer
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Location: Darlington, hybrid working is available.
Hours: 7.45am- 4.45pm, Monday to Thursday, 7.45am to 12.45pm Friday
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience + 23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Hybrid working + Private Medical Care.
The Role:
We are working with a leading engineering firm specialising in the design, development, and implementation of steel structures. They are looking for a Structural Project Engineer to focus on the design and development of permanent and temporary structures. There will be a particular focus on bridges, tower systems and complex structures.
Responsibilities:
Design conceptual and detailed plans for permanent and temporary structures, with a focus on steel construction.
Conduct erection engineering, including the preparation of method statements.
Design and specify specialised equipment, particularly for heavy lifting and moving projects.
Perform static analyses of structures using finite element analysis (FEA) computer programs.
Prepare detailed calculations using Excel.
Create sketches and drawings using AutoCAD or by hand.
Collaborate closely with the CAD team.
Develop standard spreadsheet solutions suitable for use with Excel.
Assist in the management of the design office and provide leadership to other team members.
