Background and Purpose of the Role
We are excited to announce a newly created role for a Commercial Administrator to support our HS2 project team. This position is essential for performing a variety of administrative tasks, providing support to our managers and wider team, and managing general administrative activities for our projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving our company’s mission and upholding our values.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Entry: Input data into our in-house Contract Data System.
* Timesheet Preparation: Assist with the preparation of weekly timesheets as required.
* Report Preparation: Help in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
* Document Creation: Create and manage important documents.
* Visitor Support: Greet visitors and provide general support.
* Point of Contact: Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients where required.
* Request Handling: Handle requests and queries from senior managers.
* Filing: Ensure important documentation is filed correctly.
* Team Support: Provide support to other team members when required.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience as an administrative assistant, virtual assistant, or in an office environment.
* Proficiency in MS Office (particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
