The Role
We are looking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner to join the Paediatric Orthopaedic Team at University Hospital Wishaw!
The successful candidate/s should have a keen interest in Paediatric Orthopaedics and proven clinical paediatric physiotherapy experience in this specialist area.
The clinical work includes screening, diagnosing and management of common paediatric orthopaedic conditions, including DDH and CTEV and will be mainly working with new-borns, infants and children under 5 years .
Excellent communication and organisational skills are vital and an ability to work in a fast paced out- patient setting within a busy district general hospital.
You will be working closely with the Band 8a, who will support and help develop your skills within this specialist advance practice role.
Contract type and Shift Pattern
Band 7 / F ixed-Term or Secondment - 1 year / Part Time / 18.5 hours
The hours available are up to 18.5 hours - between Mondays and Wednesdays.
Job shares will be considered.

What we'll need you to bring
8. Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
9. Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
10. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
11. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
12. Advanced Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality.
13. Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in speciality and applying clinical judgement.
14. Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership.
15. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
16. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative
17. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills
18. Working knowledge of basic information technology
