About the Role: As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing targeted support to students with special needs, helping them engage with learning, build confidence and develop key life skills. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will create a nurturing and structured learning environment that enables every child to reach their full potential. Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, ensuring individual learning plans are followed effectively. Assist in the delivery of tailored interventions to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of pupils. Support children in developing essential communication and social skills, promoting independence. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by managing behaviour in line with the school’s policies. Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to ensure students receive holistic support. Assist with sensory and emotional regulation techniques to support students’ well-being. Prepare and adapt resources to meet diverse learning needs. The Successful Candidate Will: Have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Have previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or Speech & Language difficulties. Carry a genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal development. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Have an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. A strong understanding of child development and behaviour management strategies.
