Archway school is seeking to appoint an inspirational part-time teacher of Mathematics. The successful candidate will work alongside the experienced Head of Department and team. Ideally the successful candidate would be able to offer 0.8 teaching timetable, but this is open to negotiation.

Archway was visited by a team of Ofsted inspectors in March 2022 and the school was graded “Good” in all five categories, with an overall effectiveness grade of “Good”. The inspectors recognised the significant progress that had been made in a number of areas since the previous inspection in 2018. The school prides itself on its inclusive attitude and green credentials.

The mathematics department is committed to obtaining outstanding results and positive career outcomes for students. As part of our journey, we are now looking to appoint an inspirational teacher of Mathematics. It is desirable for the successful applicant to have experience of teaching A level mathematics.
The Maths team itself consists of eight motivated members of staff, who have a real sense of teamwork. The atmosphere is supportive and they help each other improve. They collaborate well to produce high quality overviews of learning.
The successful candidate will:

• Be able to bring mathematics to life in an innovative and interesting way.
• Think creatively about how to implement schemes of learning and share their pedagogical ideas with colleagues.
• Have a great sense of humour.
