About the role: As Governance & Integrity Technical Lead, you’ll be the go-to person for all aspects of technical compliance, engineering governance, asset integrity, process safety and auditing. You’ll be accountable for delivering compliance against legislative, statutory, corporate and site policy and procedures. Your work will help to preserve Drax Power Station, minimise costs and deliver the Engineering asset/ maintenance strategy that supports the long-term commercial operation of the plant. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the highest level of safety standards and operational compliance are always applied. Providing leadership and guidance to your colleagues and contractors, you’ll work cross-functionally with the Engineering, Operations and Maintenance teams at Drax Power Station. You’ll also hold contract management responsibilities including negotiating and tendering of contracts specification of work, risk assessments and supervision of contractor work and support the Drax audit plan and lead technical audits. Who we’re looking for: Ideally, you’ll be educated to degree level in an engineering or technical subject and have experience in the power industry or similar. You’ll have broad health and safety knowledge along with environment, engineering and process safety knowledge. With an engineering or technical background, you’ll bring a wealth of experience relating to health, safety, environment engineering and process safety. You’ll feel at home working in an environment of continuous improvement, looking to identify causes of poor reliability, then prioritising and progressing solutions.
