The Assistant General Manager is a key leadership/management role within the cluster management structure and provides both operational and strategic support to the General Manager.
The post holder will have delegated responsibility from the General Manager for managing the day to day operations of the services, working closely with the Clinical Director/Clinical Leads/Service
Managers and Matrons.
Working with the support of the General Manager the post holder will ensure that effective and efficient structures are in place to ensure that all standards of patient care are met and associated
risk and governance matters are managed.
The post holder will support the General Manager in developing efficient and effective patient centred services, meeting key financial and operational performance targets, and putting in place effective processes for delivering national / local targets, reviewing the efficiency and effectiveness of services in terms of cost effectiveness and financial
flows.
The post holder will deputise for the General Manager and will be on the on call rota for the Trust.
