Job summary We currently have several exciting opportunities to join our highly acclaimed and well-established Occupational Therapy Department, based at Salford Royal Hospital on a part time basis. The opportunities are within one of our inpatient therapy teams and will involve working as part of the multidisciplinary workforce to support patient care and the day-to-day running of the service. These are incredible opportunities for somebody who wants to make a difference by supporting an individual's recovery from illness or injury, and to be part of a dynamic and friendly team. Successful candidates will have a clear competency framework to work to and a robust period of induction when joining the team, with an ongoing structure for supervision and development. Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship Main duties of the job You will support and assist with the work of the Occupational Therapists in providing assessment, planning and delivering treatment programmes to patients with multiple needs.You will also take responsibility for basic administration tasks to ensure the department and team's needs are met.You should have evidence of a good standard of education including GSCE's or equivalent in English and Math's with a NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Therapy Assistant.You will have good communication skills, the ability to use your own initiative, good time management skills and the ability toproblem solve.Experience of working within a team is also required and, if this has not been in a health care setting, we would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate and evidence the relevant transferable skills.
