To continue with their growth plans, they're now looking for an experienced Payroll Manager who can come in and audit their current payroll systems/strategies, allowing you to make a real change within a business and giving you more of a strategic focus.
Duties
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
* Fully audit the payroll processes.
* Perform regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Deal with third parties, ensuring that the company is getting the best outcome from these providers.
* Oversee the entry and maintenance of employee data in the payroll system, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay or benefits.
* Prepare reports for management analysis, providing insights into payroll trends and workforce costs.
* Engage with senior leadership, showing where changes need to be made.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, providing clear explanations of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in payroll management.
* Expert in all things HMRC and Pensions.
* Experience working in larger SMEs (£40m+ Turnover).
* Proficiency in dealing with third-party providers.
* Strong understanding of HRIS systems.
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with employees at all levels.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
