Infrastructure Engineer - Weston-super Mare Due to continued growth the position of Junior I nfrastructure Engineer has become available to join our successful Technology Services team. The Technology Services team are a vital part of the success of Costain Digital, we work with both internal and external customers building and delivering infrastructure for technical systems. We provide ongoing support and maintenance within an ITIL framework to systems that have moved into service. As an Junior I nfrastructure Engineer within our Client Delivery Services team in Worle, you will help deliver and support technical infrastructure solutions to meet our client needs. Working at tender stage, through design, implementation, and service support; this role requires an individual interested in a broad range of technologies with some level of experience in areas like Linux administration, virtualisation, cloud engineering, networking, Windows, monitoring, automation. It is not a Senior level role and will ideally suit a Junior / Infrastructure Engineer seeking progression and development. The role is mainly home based but with office and desk space available to join the team in Worle every so often for workshops, training, meetings etc, so would ideally suit someone based in the South West region. Role Requirements • Carries out all routine tasks associated with operating and controlling the installed hardware and software. This may include multiple hardware or software platforms. Uses standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system backups, restoring data where necessary. • Carries out required monitoring, logging, and reporting tasks. Acts on known errors and documented workarounds, logging such actions and advising supervisor or specialists when management or specialist attention is required.
