About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and experienced Staff Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) to join our team in Lincoln, LN4. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents in a nursing home environment. Working closely with the Deputy Manager, you will ensure that care plans are followed, residents’ needs are met, and safety and wellbeing are always a top priority.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Registered Nurse Learning Disabilities (RNLD), with a valid NMC Pin. You should have experience in medication management, be comfortable working without supervision during night shifts, and have prior nursing home experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide High-Quality Care: Deliver individual care to residents based on their personal care plans, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
* Medication Management: Administer medication accurately, ensuring safe practice during medication rounds and maintaining precise records.
* Collaborate with the Care Team: Work closely with the Deputy Manager and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans and monitor residents’ progress.
* Work Independently: Take responsibility for your own actions, working autonomously during night shifts to ensure that the nursing home runs smoothly.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, safeguarding residents and creating a safe living environment.
* Support Junior Staff: Provide leadership and support to junior team members, helping to develop their skills and ensure high standards of care are maintained.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD).
* Valid NMC Pin: You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold an active pin.
* Nursing Home Experience: Previous experience working in a nursing home environment is required.
* Medication Rounds: Proven experience in administering medication and managing medication rounds effectively.
* Independent Working: Must be able to work autonomously during night shifts.
* Compassionate & Caring: Strong commitment to providing exceptional care to vulnerable individuals.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work well in a team, communicate with residents, families, and colleagues effectively.
