Our client is an award-winning Retail Display and Visual Communication company. With 40+ years’ experience, they have developed an excellent reputation as problem solvers, for some of the largest brand and retail companies in the UK and Europe.
Due to an upcoming retirement, they are now looking to slot a new Production Manager, into their team. Reporting directly to the Production Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of the production facilities including Print, Manufacture and Dispatch.
Job Role
Efficient management of staff tasks, targets, and production timings
Drive production to tight deadlines and high-quality output
Work with the H&S consultant to manage and promote all H&S requirements across all production facilities
Ensure basic discipline amongst production staff
Motivate production staff, particularly in peak times
Develop closer ties between print and manufacture departments
Introduce staff appraisals and actions
Develop improved systems for print manufacture and dispatch
Set and review production KPI’s based on production and individual performance
Develop relationships throughout the business between Project Management, Sales, and Departmental Managers
Develop production and staff for company growth and investment in new areas of production
Seek to implement new and improve existing systems, to improve margins and reliability, without impacting service levels
Skills and Experience
Experience in a similar role within a retail industry
Experience large format digital print and finishing and multi-material manufacturing
Sound knowledge of the industry
Able to work to tight deadlines
Must be highly driven and self-motivated
A positive ‘can do’ attitude
Must be able to hit the ground running
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Highly organised
